Two decades ago, the most important room in the house was the family room. But now, the kitchen has taken over this role. We spend more time in the kitchen than in any other room. When guests enter a home, they look at the kitchen first. The kitchen is where family and friends gather. It is the room where relationships are bonded, and where memories are made.

This is where I come in. As an executive chef/consultant with 17 years’ experience, I know how to help you create a kitchen that is tailored to your needs and tastes. I will meet with you, ascertain your style and requirements, and help you design the kitchen of your dreams. I know the right questions to ask you. As a culinary professional, I understand the importance of ample working space, practical storage, and well-placed appliances. With my help, you will be able to work comfortably and efficiently in your new kitchen. When entertaining, you will be able to enjoy spending more time with your guests. Also, you will be adding value to your home if you choose to sell it in the future.

Let me share my professional background with you. I earned my undergraduate degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management, and went on to earn my MBA degree. I have 17 years’ experience as a culinary chef and consultant. I have taught culinary arts privately as well as on the college level. Catering in private homes has allowed me to understand what works well in the kitchen and what does not. I know how to equip your kitchen to make cooking fun instead of a chore.

Renovation of your kitchen is a very special opportunity. You will be able to put your own personal touches into the surroundings. You now need to think about what you really want in your kitchen. Advanced technology offers countless options for appliances, cabinets, countertops, floors, lighting, equipment, and utensils. This is your chance to make the kitchen fun. But with so much to select from, how do you know what is the right choice for you?

The problem with most kitchens is that they are designed by architects or developers who do not have a culinary background. Developers typically do not ask homeowners how they work in the kitchen. They do not ask what style of cooking the homeowners prefer. Because they don’t ask the right questions, the kitchen ends up as a generic, “one-size-fits-all” room with little functionality. The kitchen environment is not tailored to the homeowner’s individual working style. And when homeowners renovate their kitchens themselves, they often lack the experience to make good choices. Most people go out and buy equipment or appliances based on appearance or brand name, not on utility. As a result, they sometimes spend more money than they need to.

I would welcome the opportunity to help you design the kitchen of your dreams. Please give me a call or drop me an e-mail to arrange a meeting.
